If I Rent A Car With A Coupon Of A University I Dont Belong And End Up In A Accident Will My Rental Be Void?

I want to rent a National car with a University of Michigan Student discount coupon. I dont belong to that univ. The coupon comes with a No underage fee and Also a LDW. Because I am not student of that univ, Will the insurance void, if i end up in a accident. Any answer is appreciated.
Thanks

The insurance shouldn’t void, but you may have to show proof that you are a student in order to use the coupon and qualify for the rental.
